Open Enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year will be available electronically on March 1st. No paper applications will be accepted.

Dear Prospective Parents,

Thank you for your interest in Bethel Christian School. Following is a description of the enrollment requirements for our school. Each grade level may require different forms or information; please refer to list below for the required forms, information, and records needed to meet enrollment requirements:

New Enrollment Application

How old must a child be to enroll in BCS?
Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st. Some families transferring into BCS from other countries may find the U.S.A. grade level system confusing. Our first year of school starts at age 5 and is called Kindergarten. The following chart will help you know, based on the age of your child(ren), what grade they would normally be enrolled in.

Based on your child’s age on or before September 1st of the school year.
3 & 4 years old........... Pre-School.................... Early education
5 years....................... Kindergarten.................. 1st year of education
6 years....................... 1st Grade..................... 2nd year of education
7 years....................... 2nd Grade..................... 3rd year of education
8 years....................... 3rd Grade..................... 4th year of education
9 years....................... 4th Grade..................... 5th year of education
10 years...................... 5th Grade..................... 6th year of education
11 years...................... 6th Grade..................... 7th year of education
12 years...................... 7th Grade..................... 8th year of education
13 years...................... 8th Grade..................... 9th year of education
14 to 17 years grades not available at our school

Test results and school records will determine grade level placement not the age of your child. Age will be used to determine what level test will be administered. Every education system sets unique standards for student achievement so it is very likely that our requirements will not line up directly with the school system you are transferring from.

Applicants that are unable to come to the Bethel campus for testing must secure a qualified Test Proctor (Test Proctor Verification Form link this) to administer their placement test. The Proctor will be responsible for administering the test and returning the test results to Bethel Christian School. Applicants are required to locate their own proctor and return the proctor verification form to Bethel Christian School. Once the proctor verification form is received and approved a testing packet will either be emailed or mailed to the proctor.
Proctor Requirements:
A proctor is an individual who agrees to receive the assessment test from Bethel Christian School, administer it in an approved environment, and return all testing materials to Bethel Christian School. The proctor must verify that the student completed the test according to the specific directions of Bethel Christian School.

  • Public library personnel

Relatives and friends, regardless of their position, are not permitted to act as proctors.
Once a qualified proctor has been located have them complete the Test Proctor Verification Form, sign it, and return the completed form along with the rest of the application paperwork. A student will not be enrolled until placement testing has been completed and the student has been matched to the appropriate grade level.

4. Acceptance
If it is determined the student is able to work successfully within Bethel Christian School’s curriculum and expectations and there is space, the student will be placed in a class. If the class is full the student is placed on a waiting list.
